Well, today is January 19th and we are offically done with the 2011 season. We had a really slow season but we had the biggest bucks we have ever had in one season come in this year. Most hunters complained of not seeing deer much at all so I feel blessed to have had the business we had. If we didnt get to see you this year cause you didnt kill one all I can say is....give it 8 months and deer season will be back in. We set the bar high and for a slow year y'all really put 'em down for the Hunters For The Hungry program. Last year we wanted 100 deer and we processed 92 deer for a total of 3,720. Lots of people said I was crazy to think that I could raise it to 150 deer and even come close to is since we didnt make it last year. Well, we didnt quite get there but we did have 143 deer donated this year for a total of 5,696 lbs of meat given to churches, food banks and other charitable organizations to feed the hungry here in central NC! That is 51 more deer and 24lbs short of a full ton more of meat processed for the hungry. For a slow year that was GREAT!! So, this might be a little unrealistic even by my standards but I have big hopes for the 2012 season. Lord willing we are shooting for 200 deer to be donated in the 2012 season! Yup, thats right, 200 deer would be around 8,000 lbs of burger, 4 tons of meat to feed the hungry here in central NC. It seems like a lot of deer but with 2011 being an off year 2012 should be a great season for deer hunting if we get steady rains all year long. Thanks again to all of you and I hope to see you again soon!

| Craven Deer Processing is a NCDA INSPECTED FACILITY that offers field to freezer service. You shoot it, load it up in your truck and bring it to us and we will do the rest. No more wondering what to do with the meat, skin and guts or if you have time to get it dressed tonight. Full service processing starts opening day of Muzzle loader season to the last day of the regular gun season. We offer deer processing beginning in September but we do not skin and gut during bow season simply because there is very little demand in bow season. For hours and prices please check the deer processing page.

Skull and Bones Taxidermy specializes in whitetail deer but do everything from beaver heads to elk, moose even alligators. All our skulls are cleaned by dermistid beetles. By cleaning your skulls with beetles there is no need to boil or scrape your trophy's skull and possibly damage it in the process. Beetles also eliminate the shrinkage associated with boiling and other methods of flesh removal. For more info on prices please go to the European mount price page.

All you have to do is drop off any deer that is legally taken that you may not have room for and we will make sure that it gets to a family that needs it. Info on monetary donations to the program can be found on our contact page.
